Little customers chose their favorite flowers to make special bouquets for mom at Winn-Dixie store No. 54 in Jacksonville, Fla.

Families enjoyed a fun day of making personalized gifts for mom on May 10 at the “Build a Bouquet for Mother’s Day” event at store No. 54 in Jacksonville, Fla.

Winn-Dixie associate Vanna Henke helped little hands create personalized floral bouquets with roses, crazy daisies and baby’s breath with their choices of vases and ribbons.

Other activities included a Mother’s Day card-making station where children could make special cards using crayons, stickers and construction paper, along with delicious food samples, including fresh fruit and a variety of cheeses in the deli and a Mother’s Day cake.

Little customers also enjoyed balloon art made into their favorite characters as they waited to have their faces painted as ninja turtles, superheroes, princesses and butterflies. Raffles for prizes were also a big hit with some of moms’ favorite stores and restaurants including Outback Steakhouse, Bed Bath & Beyond and Panera Bread.

“Our store team had fun helping the kids make special gifts for their moms and special women in their lives,” said Winn-Dixie Associate Store Director Marcus Braeckel. “Parents loved their personalized gifts and watching their kids’ excitement as they became princesses and ‘ninja turtles’ before their eyes.”
