The Children’s Trust 2014 After-School Program Guide is available at all 41 Miami-Dade County Winn-Dixie locations.

For the past two years Winn-Dixie has partnered with The Children’s Trust, an organization that strives to improve the lives of Miami-Dade County families by providing health and educational services.

As the school year nears, Winn-Dixie continues to support the organization as all 41 Miami-Dade County Winn-Dixie stores provide customers with the opportunity to pick up a complimentary copy of the 2014 After-School Programs Guide with a complete listing of fun, safe and educational programs for children of all ages.

Since establishing the partnership in 2013, Winn-Dixie has been a resource for families to find local program options in their area. Winn-Dixie Regional Vice President Tony Jorges said the partnership is an ongoing commitment to the residents of Miami-Dade County.

We pride ourselves on being local resource families can count on,” he said. “These guides contain vital information that helps parents make the right decision when it comes to after-school care for their children.”

The guide, in English, Spanish and Creole, provides extensive materials to find the perfect program for any child. Children’s Trust Senior Communications Manager Emily Cardenas said Winn-Dixie is a vital contributor to educating local families about the organization’s services.

“It’s partners like Winn-Dixie that show their commitment to the community by helping us raise awareness of the programs we offer Miami-Dade County residents,” she said.
