BI-LO store No. 5158 in Beaufort, South Carolina joined forces with their local PepsiCo plant for a food drive to benefit HELP of Beaufort, a non-profit, faith based organization dedicated to providing emergency assistance to the people of Beaufort county and surrounding areas with basic needs.

BI-LO promoted the food collection drive by placing a donation bin at the front of the store. Pepsi employees had a food drive at their plant and BI-LO matched the cans donated in the plant’s drive. All together, they donated 360 cans of Clear Value vegetables to HELP of Beaufort.

HELP of Beaufort was created in 1979, when churches in the greater Beaufort area combined community outreach efforts into one organization. “Our store has partnered with HELP before on multiple incentives and we’re happy to be involved in the community,” said store No. 5158 director Bryce Payne.
