BI-LO store No. 5802 in New Ellenton, South Carolina participated in the New Ellenton Atomic City Festival for a family fun weekend.

New Ellenton hosts the annual Atomic City Festival in honor of the former town of Ellenton that was moved to make way for the Savannah River Site nuclear facility. The festival includes a car and trucks show, entertainment, arts and crafts and games.

The Atomic City Festival added to its event line-up this year with the inaugural Family Movie Night that resulted in a great turnout of 300 children and parents. Families that attended were treated to snacks and beverages provided by BI-LO.

Saturday was filled with fun and featured carnival rides, games, food, craft vendors, a car show, music and fireworks. BI-LO’s booth was filled with information about the following weeks “burnout” sale, giveaways and fun items for children. Associates also provided information to festival participates about BI-LO’s Hometown Educational Rewards Program, fuelperks! and more.

“We were thrilled to host a booth at the annual festival,” said store No. 5802 director Chris Jackson. “This festival is attended by many in the community and we love being able to participate in community events like this.”
