Hundreds of Food Fight attendees learned about Winn-Dixie’s delicious offerings while they enjoyed sweet treats, canapés and fine cheeses.

Winn-Dixie was proud to be the presenting sponsor of the 24thAnnual Jacksonville FOODFIGHT, held June 5 at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Fla.

Each year, more than 60 of Jacksonville’s finest restaurants, food and beverage wholesalers and distributors, including Winn-Dixie, come together in friendly competition and “take a bite out of hunger” to help raise funds and awareness for the Nourishment Network Jacksonville food bank.

Winn-Dixie served up food designed to showcase the fresh offerings available in stores. Fine cheeses, canapés and decorated petit fours were just some of the delicious items available for tasting – all highlighted by a beautiful floral display. Winn-Dixie coupons and materials were also distributed to attendees.

“The Nourishment Network provides a valuable service to help hungry neighbors in need and Winn-Dixie wanted to be part of that community support,” said Bi-Lo Holdings Director of Community Involvement and Charitable Giving Rondel Hartwell. “We enjoyed highlighting our fresh store offerings for FOODFIGHT attendees while helping a cause that is close to the hearts of our customers and associates.”
