At the Latin Food and Wine Festival in Orlando, Fla. on Oct. 19 , Winn-Dixie store no. 2266 in Fern Park, Fla. took part in an event in which 10,000 people came together for food, wine, dancing and plenty of fun!

The Latin Food and Wine Festival is presented by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando and is the premiere wine and culinary festival in Central Florida with a Latin twist. This two-day event was held at the Cranes Roost Park in the heart of Uptown Altamonte.

The festival began with “Savor the Night,” a culinary affair hosting from 400 to 600 people, and culminated with a “Grand Tasting” on Saturday, in which local restaurants and food providers united to bring attendees the best of Latin cuisine.

Winn-Dixie participated in the Grand Tasting event providing attendees with a large section of 21 different wines to sample and the sweet Latin dessert Tres Leche, a mixture of three milks that creates a delicate dessert. Winn-Dixie also raffled off wines to attendees and provided information about upcoming in-store wine specials.

“The event was a huge success for our Orlando store,” Store No 2266 Director Frank Diaz said. “Throughout the night, we continually had a line of at least 30 people at our tent, the attendees loved that Winn-Dixie was offering some of their favorite Latin cuisine.”
