Winn-Dixie invited the community to say, “goodbye to summer” with two celebrations in the Orlando area during the Labor Day weekend. Store No.2392 held the first celebration on Aug. 30, offering tastings and family fun. More than five vendors attended the event including Dietz &Watson with Hispanic vendors Bimbo Foods and Yo Go Rico.

“Customers who came out to the event had a great time,” explained Store No. 2392 Director Todd Keller. “We even received a raving review from one customer, letting us know how much fun she had at the event and how she appreciated our Hispanic offerings.”

The second event was at Store No. 2656 on Aug. 31. This store held a raffle prize drawing where two lucky winners received a grill donated by Pepsi or a basket full of back-to-school supplies and Winn-Dixie gift cards. This event had a great turnout and customers enjoyed the fun activities.

“Children and the adults that attended left with a huge smile on their face,” raved Store No. 2656 Director Al Stitt.“Both of the prize winners were so excited that a trip to Winn-Dixie turned into a fun opportunity!”

The events both featured a face painter and balloon artist to entertain young customers while their parents sampled tasty foods and browsed the fresh selections that Winn-Dixie has to offer.
