South Georgia teachers are back to school in preparation for the upcoming year, and Winn-Dixie stores in Lake Park, Georgia, and Valdosta, Georgia, recently made some special deliveries to area schools to welcome them back.

Winn-Dixie Nos. 32, 65, 140 and 173 sent vegetable and fruit trays, as well as sandwich and cookie platters, to five area schools during the teachers’ in-service week to celebrate the start of the 2015-16 school year.

“The teachers loved it and really appreciated the gesture,” said District Director Ted White. “We were very well received by the schools, and the teachers were thankful that Winn-Dixie thought of them.”
