This Easter, BI-LO, Harveys and Winn-Dixie showed customers they always come first as they celebrated in locally unique ways at stores in Georgia, Florida and South Carolina. Celebrations included visits from the Easter Bunny, Easter egg hunts and an Easter dinner provided to a community organization. Although all celebrations were different customers and associates all had a hoppy good time!

In Donalsonville, Georgia, Harveys store No. 1638 provided a special appearance from the Easter Bunny just in time for the colorful holiday. Store Director Stacey Ingram learned from several shoppers that the Easter Bunny was not hopping through any other locations in town to meet with children andto take photos, so Ingram invited the community to come and meet with the bunny and even set up a beautiful backdrop for the perfect picture.

“We received a great turnout with more than 50 kids in less than two hours; the parents were very excited and thankful for offering them memories with their children,” stated Ingram. “We saw this as a great opportunity to give a little back to our wonderful community.”

BI-LO store No. 5150 in Greenville, South Carolina held its annual Easter Egg hunt at the store on Saturday, April 3. Associates hid 3,340 plastic eggs throughout the store, each filled with either a piece of candy or a slip of paper to be redeemed for fresh fruit and other prizes, including chocolate bunnies and other Easter treats. Approximately 200 kids took to the aisles to hunt for eggs with their parents. Once all of the eggs were found, families came together to open the eggs in the store's lobby.

Winn-Dixie No. 2521 in Fort Myers, Florida hosted an Easter dinner for firefighters from the station near the store.

“We wanted to show them our gratitude for everything they do,” said Melody Wade, store No. 2521 director. “They were away from their families during the holiday, so we wanted to do something nice for them.”

Wade and Winn-Dixie No. 2521 associates served a spiraled ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls, vegetables and pumpkin and cherry pies to six members of the fire station.

Winn-Dixie store No. 2380 in Heathrow, Florida and store No. 30 in High Springs, Florida celebrated their recently refreshed stores with the community during “Lunch with the Easter Bunny,” events held on Sunday, March 29 and Saturday, April 4. Many customers dressed in their holiday best to take photos with the "bunny of the hour," and enjoyed delicious food samplings of Easter favorites. Store Easter egg hunts were popular with customers as they looked throughout the aisles for select eggs that contained mystery Winn-Dixie gift cards to use in their neighborhood store.
