Winn-Dixie stores in the West Florida region joined artists such as Chase Bryant, John Kim and Clemons Road at the 2015 South Shore Music Festival in November. The family-friendly music festival featured delicious food sampling, a kids zone and a chili cook-off—and Winn-Dixie was in the middle of it all.

District Director Mike Rodgers joined Larry Cook, store director at store No. 2475, and Ron Howe, store director at store No. 637, at the festival. The Winn-Dixie tent crew offered festival-goers samples of the company’s award-winning Apple Pie with Caramel Drizzle and also shared promotional materials for Cooking with Curtis and New Regular Prices.

“They loved the pie,” Cook said. “A lot of them mentioned they would buy it for Thanksgiving—and of course we told them it was award-winning pie!”

The area stores didn’t just donate delicious apple pie to festival attendees. Leading up to the festival, they hosted a food drive to collect nonperishable goods for Feeding Tampa Bay.

The South Shore Music Festival featured hundreds of attendees, several local sponsors and a blend of bands playing a range of music from soulful rock to country music and blues.
