Winn-Dixie store No. 326 in Tamarac, Florida participated for the second year in the Greater Tamarac Chamber of Commerce Taste of Tamarac annual event Oct. 18. The event gave the community a great opportunity to taste the great prepared foods that their neighborhood store has to offer, Director Anthony Ordonez said.

For the second consecutive year, more than 1,000 event-goers visited the Winn-Dixie booth for samples of savory roasted turkey and antipasti salad from the store’s prepared foods department.

Ordonez answered questions about his store’s prepared food selection. He said he enjoyed seeing customers who recognized him from the store, as well as making connections with potential customers who were impressed by the freshly prepared, chef-inspired meals available at Winn-Dixie.

“Attendees were very complimentary of our dishes and were overjoyed that Winn-Dixie took part in the special community gathering,” he said. “It was a real treat to once again partner with the Greater Tamarac Chamber of Commerce and join our neighbors in the city’s celebration.”

Ordonez received an appreciation award on behalf of the chamber for his store’s participation in the annual event. Greater Tamarac Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Peter Mason said he was happy to have Winn-Dixie return to participate in the festivities for a second year.

“The Taste of Tamarac continues to be wonderful opportunity for the business community to showcase the most delicious cuisine to our residents,” said Mason. “This year’s Taste of Tamarac event was bigger than ever, and it’s thanks to supporters like Winn-Dixie that keep attendees coming back.”
