The Ocilla- Irwin County (Georgia) Chamber of Commerce and Industrial Development Authority recognized Harveys Supermarket store No. 1660 in Ocilla, Georgia and sponsored a lunch for store associates during Employee Appreciation Day May 5.

Chamber members had the opportunity to talk about getting involved within the community and showing much appreciation to all Harveys associates for their continued dedication.

“We wanted to show them how much we appreciate Harveys being in Ocilla, and how much we appreciate the excellent staff at our local store,” County Commission Chairman Joey Whitley said. Whitley noted that many of the store’s associates are residents of Ocilla and Irwin County, including store director Jason Parks, who has been with the Harveys Supermarket family for several years. Parks also expressed his gratitude for the store’s associates, the community and Harveys customers.

“I appreciate the support and patience displayed during our transition,” he said. “The community is fortunate to have a store of this capacity. Our continued goal is to provide quality products at lowest prices.”

Community leader and Ocilla Mayor Horace Hudgins also attended the luncheon and gave his personal thanksto Harveys associates.
