Winn-Dixie is making a statement in the greater Baton Rouge, Louisiana area with the introduction of three remodeled stores since November 2014.

“These remodeled stores represent our commitment to the Baton Rouge community and our promise to continue listening to our neighbors’ preferences and needs.” said Karena Niblett, regional vice president, Winn-Dixie stores.

Recently remodeled store No. 1461 marks Winn-Dixie’s most recent remodel in Louisiana’s capital city area, following the reveals of upgraded Prairieville and Coursey Boulevard locations.

On Feb. 12, customers, associates and community partners, including the Baton Rouge Area Chamber of Commerce, enjoyed the store’s enhancements during a packed Open House event. To kick off the festivities, attendees gathered for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony.

During the ceremony, representatives officially re-introduced store No. 1461 to the community, and Winn-Dixie’s regional leadership took time to recognize the store team’s dedication to the success of the remodel.

After the ribbon was cut, the store buzzed with excitement as guests checked out its new features, including upgraded produce, deli and bakery departments, as well as, a fresh, live lobster tank in the meat and seafood department, expanded in-store wine and liquor assortments, additional natural and organic selections, a signature cheese shop, refreshed decor and new flooring.

“We are devoted to the Baton Rouge community, and we are proud to offer our neighbors a transformed shopping experience with this remodeled location,” said Zach Wesson, district director. “Our hope is that our customers will enjoy a great shopping experience everytime they visit their neighborhood Winn-Dixie.”
