As the New Orleans Saints marched to a second-round NFL playoff game in Seattle, Winn-Dixie hosted a tailgate party live on ABC television affiliate WGNO.

The hosts of the popular WGNO news segment, “Wingin’ It,” won a recent Supermarket Sweep at store No. 1405, benefiting 135 local needy families identified by The Malcolm Jenkins Foundation.

To celebrate, Winn-Dixie catered a tailgate party for the entire crew. The party aired on the “News With a Twist Live at 5” segment and featured the highlights from the Saints’ successful 2013 season.

“On behalf of Winn-Dixie, we are excited to host this party to cheer on our Saints and to thank WGNO for supporting our efforts to help local families in the community,” said Winn-Dixie District Director Kate Speakes.

Store No. 1405 brought together items from deli, floral and center store to create the perfect tailgate party. Winn-Dixie's hot wings, mini muffalatas, finger sandwiches, cheese and fruit trays, Saints-themed king cakes and other signature Louisiana favorites.

After the segment, super fan “Mack the Quack” presented popular on-air personality Susan Roesgen with a beautiful centerpiece display designed by Winn-Dixie’s floral department.
