Justin Sanchez and his family got more than they expected when they showed up to the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa, Florida for a country music concert.

Winn-Dixie recently teamed up with Eckrich Farms and country music artist Randy Houser for “Operation Inspiration” – a campaign which honors, thanks and supports military families.

Sanchez and his family were given $1,000 to go towards the purchase of groceries and the opportunity to go backstage for a meet-and-greet with Houser, one of country music’s biggest stars.

Houser has long supported the military and their families and has performed for service members stationed in Iraq and most recently at an Operation Homefront Village in Gaitherburg, Maryland.

“Any time I can spend some of my time with a military family is special for me,” said Houser in a release. “These families have sacrificed so much so I can go out and perform and do what I love. It was great to meet the Sanchez family, hear their story and have them enjoy the concert.”

Henry Falcon, store director at store No. 2435, presented the $1,000 Winn-Dixie gift card to the Sanchez family at the concert.

“It was an honor to represent Winn-Dixie and to donate to a family that served our country,” said Falcon. “The Sanchez family was really surprised and excited. It was certainly humbling – I think sometimes we don’t realize how fortunate we are.”
