The Tampa regional grant presentation was held on Dec. 19 at the University of South Florida Community Center.

The Bi-Lo Holdings Foundation is ringing in the New Year with donations totaling more than $3.2 million to 281 nonprofit organizations in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

The grants were awarded at regional check presentations throughout the month of December as representatives from beneficiary organizations gathered with Winn-Dixie and BI-LO to celebrate. The organizations chosen support the communities’ needs of hunger, education, health, women or children.

“The Bi-Lo Holdings Foundation is thankful for the immense support and contributions of our suppliers that enable us to provide these funds to the local organizations who work tirelessly to make our communities better places to live,” said Mary Kellmanson, foundation president and Bi-Lo Holdings senior vice president of marketing. “We look forward to growing our relationships with these organizations over the next year.”

The Bi-Lo Holdings Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that supports many of the charitable-giving efforts of both BI-LO and Winn-Dixie in the communities they serve.
