When residents of Martinez, Ga. entered BI-LO store No. 5103 in October, they may have thought for a moment they walked into a different store. And in a way, they did -- the store recently underwent a four-month remodeling project.

All of that work, and the unveiling of the store’s refreshed look and new offerings came together in an open house celebration and customer appreciation day Oct. 17.

The newly-remodeled store boasts expanded deli, meat and seafood departments with a broader selection of fresh products, wider aisles and a cleaner, more modern look, offering customers a refreshed shopping experience. Shoppers can now take advantage of chef-inspired meals, an expanded specialty “cut and wrap” cheese program and a sushi bar with fresh grab-and-go meals prepared by an experiences sushi chef.

“We value our customers and neighbors in Martinez and were excited for them to experience the enhanced store,” Regional Vice President Rusty Streetman said.

The Martinez store showcases BI-LO’s newest design concepts with a warm, vibrant color palette, new façade improvements, hardwood flooring throughout the produce department, upgraded lighting and wider aisles throughout the store.

To support the Golden Harvest Food Bank, BI-LO rewarded those who brought a reusable bag full of canned food items a mystery BI-LO gift card worth up to $500. The effort collected 3,662 pounds of food.

As customers left the event, they were given a reusable bag and a single long-stem rose.
