On Oct. 24, two Winn-Dixie stores located in Indian River County, Fla. teamed up to bowl for a cause during the fourth annual “How We Roll” fundraising event to benefit the United Way of Indian River County.

Winn-Dixie sponsored the event to help raise funds and awareness for an organization that serves those less fortunate in their communities.

Store No. 2366 Store Director Rick Romani and store No. 2354 Store Director Scott Finke joined more than 50 attendees who enjoyed an afternoon of bowling and camaraderie during the annual event. Winn-Dixie District Director Mark Nyquist applauded his associates for joining their neighbors to build connections in their communities.

“It was great to have not one, but both of our Indian River County store directors show their dedication to joining a local cause,” he said. “It’s marvelous to see Rick and Scott become the friendly faces of Winn-Dixie in their communities by engaging their neighbors.”

United Way of Indian River County Director of Community Impact MeredithEgan shared her appreciation for Winn-Dixie’s involvement.

“It’s thanks to corporate sponsors like Winn-Dixie that help this fundraiser continue to provide assistance to those in our community that need it most,” she said. “We are so grateful for Rick and Scott’s participation in being a part of the continued success of the United Way of Indian River County.”
