Winn-Dixie store No. 254 in Miami, Fla. Store Director Humberto Sanchez follows the motto, ‚Äúit‚Äôs never over‚ÄĚ in his community outreach.
To continue growing the store’s presence in the community, Sanchez visited area schools and organizations with his community involvement team. During his visit to the store’s newest partner, St. Timothy Parish and School, Sanchez was asked if Winn-Dixie would participate in their annual carnival. He said he recognized an opportunity to highlight his store’s new offerings to potential customers while having some fun with local residents.
‚ÄúOur new partnership with St. Timothy is another great way for our store team to interact with local families and further position Winn-Dixie at the forefront of the community,‚ÄĚ said Sanchez. ‚ÄúTo get into the carnival spirit, we provided a fun prize wheel and Winn-Dixie Gift cards, while also featuring a fabulous variety of food sampling, including cheese, cookie and cupcakes to showcase what attendees can find at their neighborhood Winn-Dixie.‚ÄĚ
Along with Sanchez, Service Area Manager Johanna Rodriguez, Cheese Steward Miosotis Machado, Bakery Manager Carmina Morales and Service Associate Dayna Reyes greeted carnival goers during the festivities.
St. Timothy Parish School Principal Maria Isabel de Leon welcomed Winn-Dixie’s participation and knew the community would be thrilled.
‚ÄúWe were very happy to have Winn-Dixie participate in the St. Timothy carnival and we know the attendees enjoyed it as well,‚ÄĚ she said. ‚ÄúHumberto and his team were a huge hit over the weekend and we can‚Äôt wait to work with them again to continue to grow our partnership.‚ÄĚ
