The Customer Appreciation Day event featured many games that children could play.

BI-LO store No. 5228 in Summerville, South Carolina has been busy jumping into fall with multiple family-friendly community events.

In September, the store hosted a “Customer Appreciation Day” that featured a jump castle, face painters, balloons and more for children to enjoy. The event also featured a grill-out where attendees got free hot dogs and soda. The first 50 attendees also received free prizes, including $50 giftcards at BI-LO.

To kick off October, the store hosted a “Taste of BI-LO Event” that featured some of the store’s favorite Southern Home brand items against nationally-known brands to showcase BI-LO products.

The event turned the store into a fun Friday night shopping experience as customers learned more about the Southern Home brand products and got to sample many tasty items. The event also featured a free giveaway, free pharmacy glucose and cholesterol screenings and an appearance by the Charleston Animal Society and local Firefighters to support Tobys Foundation, which ensures every pet is given the appropriate medical treatment and never turned away.

“The Summerville residents have really enjoyed the activities that we have planned at the store,” said BI-LO Store Director David Owca. “But it is not just the residents that have enjoyed theses events, the entire store team has really enjoyed hosting the events and learning more about our customers.”
