When Adrian Manresa got an opportunity to join the work experience program at Everglades High School in Miramar, Florida, he knew exactly where he wanted to earn his credit: Winn-Dixie store No. 250. That decision led to his career, and Manresa was recently presented with a certificate for 10 years of service to the company.

Before charting his own path with Winn-Dixie, Manresa already had a connection with the company because both of his parents had careers with Winn-Dixie. In high school, Manresa immersed himself in many facets of store operations, a quality that earned him a leadership role as pricing manager. In 2010, Manresa was chosen to represent the company as a brand ambassador, which gave him the opportunity to share his knowledge of Winn-Dixie own brand products with associates throughout the Miami region.

Manresa became assistant store director position at store No. 311 before transferring to store No. 757. Always seeking a new challenge, he accepted the opportunity to be director of store No. 386 and then store No. 280. He was promoted to Regional Finance Manager in March 2014. Winn-Dixie Miami Region Vice President Tony Jorges says Manresa has been a valuable associate, continuously striving to expand his skills through the various stages of his career.

“Adrian has always excelled in his positions and been touted among his superiors throughout his 10 years with Winn-Dixie,” he said. “His determination to continually improve and learn new facets of the industry has been a tremendous asset to our team.”

In his current role, Manresa has enjoyed developing new skills and gaining deeper insight to the company he has grown up with. Outside of work, Manresa continues to push himself to grow and is currently furthering his education at Florida International University.

“At an early age, I was fortunate to be exposed to the wonderful culture at Winn-Dixie and knew I wanted to become a part of it,” he said. “I am honored for the opportunities I have received throughout my 10 years with this organization and look forward to continue being a part it.”
