Hard work, dedication and community engagement all made Clayton Majeste a great store director. His diverse experience in the industry and passion for serving others come through in every conversation he has with customers, colleagues and community members.

Majeste has brought all of those attributes to his new role as community involvement specialist for the New Orleans region.

Throughout his 33-year career at Winn-Dixie, there has been one common thread with Majeste and his accomplishments – community. Whether working with local schools or area organizations, he has worked to make a difference. He can be credited with spearheading many community relationships and company programs, including Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, Floral Decorating Workshops and the Winn-Dixie Cupcake Buffet. Over the past 30 years, Clayton has been involved with many nonprofits including American Cancer Society, Hope Lodge, Alex’s Lemonade Stand and many others.

”When I recommended Clayton for this opportunity, I knew he would excel and be positioned to succeed in this role," said Karena Niblett New Orleans region vice president. “Clayton has a natural ability to connect with people and truly cares about the work he does. His passion for serving others is the perfect fit for community involvement.”

Majeste said he enjoys his new role.

“There are so many organizations and nonprofits in the community with unmet needs,” said Majeste. “To know that I can impact lives in a positive way is very rewarding. I've always taken great pride in serving Winn-Dixie customers and locals in the community. This position will allow me to serve my community on a much higher level.”
