Winn-Dixie customers had a tail-wagging good time at Store No. 123 in Jacksonville, Fla. with a “Bring Your Pet” event on Saturday, April 12 for a customer and pet social to highlight the PAWS “Feed the Love” Community Donation Program at the store to help families feed their hungry pets.

Customers brought their furry friends for fun activities in the store parking lot, including a dog show and obedience tips for pet parents by Scheurman’s K-9 Academy. Pet Shots Mobile Animal Clinic also provided mobile vet services such as vaccines, dental services, flea treatments
and other veterinarian assistance to needy pets.

Representatives from the PAWS “Feed the Love” donation program beneficiary, First Coast No More Homeless Pets, were also on hand at the store to talk to customers about their animal rescue programs, adoption initiatives and to encourage customers to donate PAWS brand cat or dog food bags or a monetary donations to their cause while they were at the store.

“We had a lot of fun meeting customers and their furry family members – all while highlighting a great cause to feed needy pets in our community,” said Store Director Jonathan Hilmo. “We want to help our customers who may have to make hard choices to feed themselves or feed their pets.”
