The overwhelming participation at the recent Fast Track Detox Diet Lunch & Learn Sept. 25, demonstrated that associates at the Jacksonville Store Support Center are looking for ways to live a healthier life. Pam Onstead, Registered Nurse and wife of President and CEO Randall Onstead, presented the Fast Track Detox Diet to approximately 162 associates, which she and many others she has coached have successfully used to achieve healthy weight loss.

The 11-day Fast Track Detox Diet, created by Ann Louise Gittleman, Ph.D, C.N.S. and the New York Times bestselling author of The Fat Flush Plan, is designed to cleanse the system of impurities that hinder successful weight loss, jump-start metabolism and encourage a long-term healthy lifestyle habits.

“Fast Track” dieting doesn’t have to mean fasting for days or eliminating the enjoyment from food. Instead, it incorporates healthy, whole foods into everyday meals and eliminates unhealthy, processed foods. The book includes suggested healthy recipes for dieters, including omelets, salads and even truffles.

At the Lunch & Learn, associates enjoyed a healthy lunch complete with recipes from “Fast Track,” and each attendee received a free copy of the book. Associates were provided with all the information they need to try the diet and will get a chance to follow the plan with a group this month.

Pam Onstead and Living Well will provide diet planning sessions, discounts on special products included in the diet and resources should they have any questions. The Jacksonville Store Support Center cafeteria will be serving healthy detox foods from the book’s suggested recipes through the month.

“Pam’s guidance and Bi-Lo Holdings’ support have made this diet easy for associates who want to try it,” said Sharon Clark, who helped organize the event. “We’re excited to see everyone’s results on Oct. 23 when we meet at the end of the group diet.”
