BI-LO store No. 5461, formerly located in Litchfield, S.C., moved to this store location in Pawleys Island, S.C. and became store No. 5741.​

The former BI-LO store No. 5461 in Litchfield, South Carolina closed its doors May 21 and moved less than a mile away to become Bi-Lo No. 5741 in Pawleys Island, South Carolina.

The store’s new home underwent transformations and extensive updates for six months before opening in its new permanent location. The store now offers an enhanced bakery, a new custom sub sandwich bar featuring Boar’s Head premium meats and cheeses, new self-service sushi, live lobsters, a full-service seafood counter and a new grantine-topped, full-service hot bar that features breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The store hosted an open house event June 12 to welcome the community to see its newly-opened location. The event featured a London broil carving station, choclate fountain with freshly-dipped strawberries, pineapple and marshmellows, double-dipped chicken tenders, cedar plank salmon, fresh bakery items and more.

Customers enjoyed live ascoustic music and met with department managers to learn more about what their new BI-LO had to offer.

“It was a great event!” said Store Director Jeff Landis. “It was a wonderful night to connect with the community and have the opportunity to learn more about our customers.”

The event also feautured a check presentation to the First Tee of the Grand Strand as represenatives shared the success of BI-LO’s recent donation of $6,000 to the non-profit’s youth educational program.

“It’s always a great opportunity when we can give back to our local community and make a direct impact on the youth in our community!” BI-LO District Director Fred DiGregorio said.

Customers enjoyed dipping fresh pineapple, strawberries and marshmallows in the chocolate fountain at the open house event.
