More than 300 customers and race fans converged on Winn-Dixie store No. 2309 in Ormond Beach, Fla. to meet NASCAR driver Danica Patrick and enjoy racing activities.

NASCAR fever was in full force as Winn-Dixie customers and racing fans converged on eight Daytona-area stores from July 1-5 to meet some of their favorite drivers and celebrate the Coke Zero 400 with a variety of racing activities.

Free events included meet and greets with NASCAR drivers Danica Patrick, AJ Allmendinger, Regan Smith, Ross Chastain and Winn-Dixie driver Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. along with show car appearances including the Monster Energy Nationwide No. 54 car, Winn-Dixie No. 17 car and Mountain Dew No. 88 car, hauler and driving simulator and the No. 47 Grill Truck that cooked up samples of Winn-Dixie Choice Angus beef samples. Other activities included the Coca-Cola Pit Crew Challenge, the Hellman’s Pit Box race simulator, a Frank’s RedHot ATV display, radio remotes, giveaways and more.

On July 3, Winn-Dixie teamed up with the Florida Lottery to bring Danica Patrick to store No. 2309 in Ormond Beach, Fla. More than 300 fans visited the store to see her. One hundred lucky fans received an autograph from the popular driver and a handful of free raffle winners got a chance for a private meet and greet with Patrick inside the store. Fans also received radio station giveaways and Florida Lottery scratch off tickets.

“The Coke Zero 400 is great summer tradition for the Daytona area,” said Winn-Dixie District Director John Koulouris “Our customers and associates are big NASCAR fans and Winn-Dixie was thrilled to host drivers in our stores so fans to meet some of their racing heroes off the track.”
