Winn-Dixie recently added more “wow” to store No. 5, in Ponte Vedra, Fla., and invited neighbors to check out its new look and expanded offerings in an open house event Nov. 14.

More than 1,300 customers converged on the store to see the enhancements. Customers and associates mingled and enjoyed live music as they sampled delicious food and wine throughout the store.

The Ponte Vedra store now features a deli featuring new meat and seafood departments, a full marble hot bar with hand-carved meats, a new wing bar and a flaming rotisserie. Shoppers now get even more choices when it comes to fresh, chef-inspired meals and prepared foods to-go. There’s sushi made on site, along with custom-made subs, wraps and hot sandwiches. A new wine and cheese gallery is also available and features more than 100 artisan cheeses and more than 150 new wine selections to pair with any meal.

“We’re committed to our Ponte Vedra neighbors and pride ourselves on offering our customers an even better shopping experience every time they visit,” said Randy Rambo, regional vice president, Winn-Dixie Stores. “Customers are already expressing their excitement over the enhanced product offerings and expanded services now found at their Ponte Vedra store and we are thrilled to share our fresh changes with the community.”

In addition to the enhanced offerings and expanded services, the Ponte Vedra store showcases Winn-Dixie’s latest design concepts featuring a new stone façade entrance along with a fresh, contemporary color palate, new tile and polished wood flooring and more modern interior store signage.

Winn-Dixie Ponte Vedra Store Director Greg Vengrin, along with Bi-Lo Holdings Foundation President and Chief Marketing Officer Mary Kellmanson, Foundation Board Member Pam Onstead and Bi-Lo Holdings President and CEO Randall Onstead, presented a $50,000 foundation grant to Feeding Northeast Florida President and CEO Bruce Ganger to support the organization’s work in the community. The funds will support its mission to feed hungry children and families in North Florida.

To continue to celebrate the store’s new offerings, Winn-Dixie will also welcome neighbors for a series of upcoming events through the end of the year, including a Taste of the Holidays and a New Year’s Celebration with food tastings, live entertainment, giveaways and more.
