More than 750 Tamarac, Fla. residents were glad they made a stop at Winn-Dixie’s table during the 10th “Taste of Tamarac” event Oct. 26.
As part of a partnership with the Greater Tamarac Chamber of Commerce, store No. 326 Customer Service Lead Joanna Krieg served up Winn-Dixie’s delicious new triple-layer chocolate cake to event goers seeking to cure their sweet tooth throughout the afternoon.
Krieg welcomed attendees, who eagerly sampled Winn-Dixie’s newest sweet sensation. As event-goers indulged their tastebuds with the sweet treat, Krieg told hundreds of Tamarac residents about the expanded departments and new offerings at their neighborhood Winn-Dixie.
“Our partnership with the Greater Tamarac Chamber of Commerce allowed us to inform hundreds of current and potential customers about the new additions to their Tamarac Winn-Dixie,” she said. “Everyone was happy to see our store represented at the event and take part in such a wonderful community gathering.”
Along with cake sampling, Winn-Dixie raffled off several triple-layer chocolate cakes during an interactive scavenger hunt with the crowd. Two attendees won $25 gift cards. Greater Tamarac Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Peter Mason said he was thrilled to join forces with Winn-Dixie for their first Taste of Tamarac event.
“Winn-Dixie has been serving Tamarac for many years and we were happy to see them take part in our community event,” Mason said. “Everyone had a great time and by the look on people’s faces when they tried the cake, I would say that had something to do with it.”
