BI-LO No. 5578 associate David Cook has been inducted into the Airport High School Hall of Fame.

BI-LO is fortunate to have many superstar associates who humbly give back to our customers and community every day, and one of them was recently recognized as an individual who delivers outstanding service to his community.

David Cook began working at BI-LO store 5578 in Cayce, South Carolina in August 2008 as a front-end bagger, and from the beginning, he has created a positive name for himself in the community.

“David is a great ambassador for BI-LO; the members of his church, community leaders, and customers all associate David with BI-LO and come in specifically to see him,” said BI-LO store No. 5578 Director Tim Smith.

Cook is an avid lover of football, soccer and basketball, and won a bronze National Special Olympics medal in 2010.

Recognition of his efforts broadened when he was honored by Airport High School in West Columbia, South Carolina and inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame for his continuous contributions over the last 15 years as equipment manager and spirit leader for varsity football and 13 years of service as equipment manager for varsity soccer.

“We are very proud of David, his accomplishment and his pride for his work at BI-LO,” Smith said.
