Winn-Dixie store No. 5 in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., offered customers several chances to relax and sample holiday favorites this winter at the series of Taste of the Holidayevents from Nov. 8 - Dec. 21. More than 200 people filled the store’s bakery and deli areas to sample spiral glazed ham, turkey, shrimp, holiday sides, pies, specialty cheeses, assorted cookies, large selection of wines and more.

The first event kicked off Nov. 8 with a local jazz trio band that rocked the bakery and had shoppers dancing about the aisles to Christmas tunes. On Dec. 14, young shoppers got a surprise visit from Santa himself as he visited the Ponte Vedra Winn-Dixie to hear wishes, take photos and carry letters back to the North Pole.

“The store events that we host are an amazing opportunity to get to know our shoppers,” said Store Director Ross Garza. “The Ponte Vedra community has become great friends for my associates and myself, a friendship that has truly grown over the past year.”

The events were a great success for the store as crowds filled the aisles chatting with neighbors and sampling holiday favorites from various departments and vendors.
