Art Night 500px
More than 35 families from Hancock Creek Elementary School visited Winn-Dixie store No. 723 for a festive fall Art Night.

The team at Winn-Dixie store No. 723 in North Ft. Myers, Fla. found a perfectly seasonal way to strengthen its community partnership with Hancock Creek Elementary School -- a festive fall Art Night on Oct. 17.

Store Director Stacey Wallace coordinated the event with Hancock Creek Art Teacher Danielle Bishop. They welcomed 35 families to enjoy the student-crafted artwork.
Wallace, who kicked off the partnership a year ago, said she relishedthe opportunity to further the relationship. She noted that she has welcomed more Hancock Creek families to the store after hosting in-store events.
“The connection we’ve created with Hancock Creek Elementary continues to drive residents to our store,” she said. “It’s a great feeling to know that our continued involvement has helped turn our commitment into customers.”
Upon arriving at the store, each student received a Winn-Dixie reusable bag, cookies and juice. Shoppers voted for the top three pieces, and Bishop selected artwork for most creative, most improved and best effort. First through third place winners received an art supply set on behalf of Winn-Dixie.
Bishop said she was thrilled with the turnout and applauded Winn-Dixie for their dedication to the community.
“All of the students had a great time at Winn-Dixie and the final art winners were absolutely ecstatic,” she said. “I would like to thank Stacey for her continued support of Hancock Creek Elementary School and we can’t wait to work together again.”
