Being in a hospital isn’t fun for anyone, especially a child. But Winn-Dixie, along with Colgate-Palmolive, helped little patients forget about their treatments for a while and focus on fun by donating four Starlight Children’s Foundation Tablets Aug. 21 to Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla.

Starlight Tablets are a critical resource for healthcare professionals to support the ongoing needs of kids while in the hospital. The tablets connect directly to the Starbright World online community and link to their educational programming, including games and animated videos to help them understand procedures and treatments.

Jacksonville District Director Todd Greene and Oral Care Category Manager Bill Fishking presented the tablets to some of the young patients at the hospital, including 9- year-old Bryant Geiger.

“It was our pleasure to support Wolfson Children’s Hospital and their focus on the unique needs of children in our community,” said Greene. “We were thrilled to donate four tablets for young patients who want to take their minds off their treatments and have some fun.”
