Customers and associatesgathered Sept. 24 to listen to BI-LO representatives and the Catoosa County Chamber of Commerce and its Ambassadors as they officially re-welcomed remodeled BI-LO store No. 5349 to the Fort Oglethorpe community.

Located just outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee in Northwest Georgia, Fort Oglethorpe is a traditional, Southern community rich in history and home of the Chickamauga Nation Military Park. The city’s pride for its heritage makes BI-LO an important feature in the community.

The updated store showcases BI-LO’s newest design concepts and features a warm, vibrant color palette with new facade improvements.

The store welcomed customers and local dignitaries to re-experience the store during an Open House celebration.

During the Open House, special guests, cheerleaders from Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe High School, greeted the crowd with reusable bags and flowers. Customers tried out delicious samplings in all departments, enjoyed great giveaways and had the opportunity to donate items to a local food bank. Since remodeling, the store has collected an estimated 11,000 pounds of food for donation.

As shoppers made their way through the store, they admired the store's new upgrades, including new deli, bakery, seafood and meat departments, a new floral shop, new pharmacy with drive-through service, new Wi-Fi cafe, refreshed decor and new flooring.

“We’ve fine-tuned this store to offer our community a shopping experience unlike any other,” said Bill Abline, store director at BI-LO Store No. 5349. “We are committed to improving the quality of life in the Fort Oglethorpe community, both inside and outside of the store, and our hope is that customers will enjoy a great shopping experience every time they visit our neighborhood BI-LO.”
