Winn-Dixie store No. 355 welcomed more than 1,000 neighbors and community partners during its recent open house celebration. Attendees enjoyed delicious tastings throughout the newly-renovated store. ​

As newly-remodeled Winn-Dixie store No. 355 in Boca Raton, Fla.welcomed more than 1,000 customers and local dignitaries to an open house event Nov. 14, the store also celebrated its arrival as a bona fide kosher store.

The newly-remodeled store joins the ranks of store No. 291 in Aventura, Fla. and store No. 326 in Tamarac, Fla. as parent company Bi-Lo Holdings’ newest kosher store.

“We have listened to our neighbors and have made the necessary changes to ensure our Boca Raton store offers the amenities that best serve the needs of the community,” said Tony Jorges, Miami Region Vice President of Winn-Dixie.

Store No. 355 now includes a new kosher deli, featuring freshly prepared kosher entrees and side dishes. The store is now equipped with a new kosher meat-cutting room and freshly-cut kosher seafood. Customers can also enjoy hand-rolled sushi , an expanded pareve bakery and a greater selection of kosher offerings, including kosher pizza.

“We have been working very hard to make sure our neighbors know they can visit their Boca Raton Winn-Dixie for their kosher needs,” Store Director Eddie Eisenscher said.

As part of the celebration, local Winn-Dixie representatives presented Adolph and Rose Levis Jewish Community Center Associate Executive Director Cindy Bergman with a $1,000 donation on behalf of Winn-Dixie stores.

“We are already working with Eddie and his team on a number of initiatives and look forward to building a strong relationship that benefits the community we both serve,” Bergman said.

On Nov. 24, Eisenscher and is team will host a Sunday Jazz Brunch. Customers can meet the store team during a Meet the Manager event on Dec. 5, and the store will host a Family Fun Day on Dec. 19.
